About the program

GrabVarsity Apprenticeship Program is a year-round paid 3-month internship for undergraduate and masters students of participating universities who are interested in working in Grab.

This program is designed to expose students to various departments and career opportunities in the industry. All students from participating universities in GrabVarsity are encouraged to apply. As a Grab Apprentice, you will be part of a dynamic team paving the way to solve the most complex challenges in today’s world. You will also get to enjoy mentorship, participate in a series of exclusive sharing sessions with company leadership, and build meaningful relationships with fellow apprentices and Grabbers.

  • Applications: year-round
  • Apprenticeship: 10-12 weeks

Kindly note that you will only be notified if you are called back for an interview. You will be matched to, interview with and work on a team for 10-12 weeks during your apprenticeship period of choice, according to your background and interests captured in the application form.


Apprentices are placed on teams across Business Development, Marketing, Strategy, Core Operations, People’s Operations, and Outer Cities. The work will vary in scope and length, depending on team and project. An apprentice will be given substantial responsibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their teams.

A more detailed job scope will be given to apprentices at the start of their program.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Be currently enrolled in either a 3 or 4-year full time degree program, at a participating university in GrabVarsity Program
  • Have authorization to work in Malaysia
Preferred qualifications:
  • An interest in tackling and solving business problems with creativity and analytical skills
  • The ability to adapt and navigate in an ambiguous environment
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills to be able to work well within a team
  • Interested in Grab’s businesses

There are limited apprenticeship openings per cycle. Failure to comply with the basic required materials will affect your chance of a successful application, so please read and heed carefully.
